If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

It’s back. The Thirty Day Challenge put on by Ed Dale, Dan Raine and company is returning to the interwebs. The yearly, totally free online event that thousands have participated in and been able to learn how to earn their first $10 online.

Official start is August 1. Getting set up for it, all the preseason information, started at the beginning of July.

Ed , Dan and crew provide daily, weekly lessons and resources. And excellent resources they are too. This is the second year that I’ll be participating but the challenge itself has been a yearly event for the last three years now.

There have actually been more people sign up for this challenge so far than have signed up for all the other Thirty Day Challenges together. We’re talking record numbers here as compared to any online event. Oh and did I mention that it’s all FREE. Not a dime is charged for this exchange of information

The latest in what’s going on with Social Media and bookmarking, how to do proper research to test your niche, even how to find a niche. It’s all covered. Step by step how to test, find and get traffic to your site, how to know if it’s a viable market. Everything that you’d need to be able to get your head around working online.

Some basic SEO techniques to use along the way to gain good rank with the search engines is also covered. All together it’s been life changing for a lot of the alumni that have participated in this event over the years.

If you want to learn more or even to register for this years event, here’s the 2008 Thirty Day Challenge.

Last year had some impressive results with one individual making $10,000 for the challenge. There are many other stories there as well in the forum. Some great friends get made during this event. Last year it was fast and furious and there were some information shared that made internet history.

Like I said before, if you want to get a leg up on the competition or even just get a good head start in running an actual online business, this is the place to start. Get over there now and do the preseason and get yourself prepped for the main event. There’s still plenty of time.

Twitter Spam

April 15, 2008 By: Paul Category: Socializing No Comments →

Well the blogosphere is all a buzz of late with Twitter. Info is spreading like wildfire and it’s being discussed everywhere. Or at least in most of the places I hang out.

One of course being Twitter. True confession time. When I first heard of it a year ago I dismissed it as a toy. Something to keep the teens busy. It seemed as if it would just be another flash in the pan.

Then last summer during the Thirty Day Challenge Ed Dale and company opened my eyes. They showed us how this seemingly ridiculous app was in reality an extremely useful marketing tool.

Of course the problem here as with anything online there is the crap side. The spam side. What some would call the underbelly of the internet.

Once the spammers get a hold of a new tool or technique it just seems to ruin the experiences of the majority of people.

Personalty, in some twisted way, I like to see spam sometimes. It shows you what is working. After all they wouldn’t do it if they weren’t making money with it right?

That aside, the annoying part of it is creeping into Twitter. Over the last few days I have noticed a trend to the followers that I’m getting. I’m sure it’s not just me either.

Names like alzeimers, cardiomeds, articlesoftware. You get my drift right?

I’m curious and a bit annoyed at the same time. First, I’m curious to see what kind of spam these individuals will be launching towards the Twitterverse. Second, I’m annoyed because I enjoy Twitter. I like to see what the people I have chosen to follow are up to. That’s why I’m following. (Well among a couple of other reasons. More on that one next time.)

I know there will be pitching there. No doubt. The thing is it’s from people that I have in some way come to know, so it’s okay. There is never a day that goes by that I don’t get a chuckle or a cool link to go to from Twitter friends.

It’ll be interesting to see what unfolds over the course of the next few weeks. Somethings up to be sure.

What do you think?
